Celebrating Black History at Loughlin
Bishop Loughlin celebrated Black History on Friday, April 28th with three very engaging presentations. Grades 9-11 attended a student performance directed by Naeemah Brown about the history behind New Years, Memorial Day, and Juneteenth for Black Americans. Seniors had the opportunity to choose between a presentation by Nia Cloe Bowman '12 on finance and learning to be debt free or participated in a demonstration of Brazilian Capoeira. The day was organized by Social Studies Department Chairperson, Petrus Fortune.
Loughlin greatly appreciates the time and effort our presenters gave to our students. It was an educational and fun day for all.
