On Friday, November 7th, Ms. Lamarque, Mr. Santiago & his HBS Biomed students traveled to St. John’s University for workshops with the Physician Assistant professors at St. John's University.
Our students expanded upon their Biomed skills as they explored a variety of simulated, interactive patients in order to assess breathing & pulse and subsequently perform CPR. The simulated patients were very life-like, with the ability to produce a pulse, breathe, blink and even speak aloud. The manikin patients varied in age (from infant to elderly), and one of them had the ability to simulate childbirth! We were also happy to run into a recent Biomed alum, Alyssa Bonilla '25, who joined us for lunch and shared her college experiences with us.
We look forward to a second set of St. John's workshops in the Spring!
