Loughlin Achieves US, NY State and CHSAA #1 Rankings at Bishop Loughlin Games!

The 67th Annual Bishop Loughlin Games was held at The Ocean Breeze Sports Complex in Staten Island on Saturday, December 18th, and Sunday, December 19th. Over two days, more than 3,500 girls and boys came from Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware to complete. The competition was great!
Thirty-five Lions came out and competed at this two-day meet. Our Lions came home with seventeen medals: seven gold, two silver, and eight bronze.
Congratulations to the Varsity Boys 4X4 A team! Junior N’Namdi Porter, Junior Jelani Johnson, Freshmen Rashaun Euche, and Junior Wesley Noble Jr. ran a 3:25.3 - a New York State #1. The Varsity Boys 4x4 B team: Junior Massai Samuel, Sophomore Kyaire Lawson Junior Kareem Clarke, and Senior Gaud Charles ran a 3:48.5 and medaled.
A special Congratulations to the Ed Bowes MVP award winner, Junior Wesley Noble Jr., who ran a personal best and a US #1 in the 600 and a split of .48 on the 4X4 meter relay.
Senior Brinesha Derrick-Bain always brings her A-game and ran a personal best which was a CHSAA #1 in the 300 meters. Junior Morgan Middleton ran a personal best and ran down the competition to achieve the CHSAA #1 in the 600 meters. Sophomore
Kyaire Lawson ran a personal best in the 55-meter hurdles and is the #1 New York State Sophomore and a CHSAA #2 in the hurdles. Freshman, Rashaun Euche, ran a New York State freshmen #1 in the 300 meters while running his first high school meet. Also, freshman Lillian McConnell and Brooke Sheppard medaled in their first high school meet.
