The 9th Annual Staten Island High School Track & Field Athletics Relays took place on Saturday, December 7th at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
Our Lions started off their indoor season by bringing home twenty-five medals: Nine gold, four silver and twelve bronze.
The Lady Lions started off the day by taking 1st place in the Varsity Girls 4X2 meter relay. The team consisted of Nia Reid, Tomi Olusanya, Chelsea White and Moriah Walker. The Varsity Girls SMR came in 1st place as well. The team of Najea Smith, Morgan Bass, Amoya Ellis and Nia Reid. Placing third in the Varsity Girls SMR the team of Makaylah Marsh, Samiyah Samuels, Jada Elcock, and Tomi Olusanya. In the fresh/Soph girls SMR our Lady Lions came in 3rd place. The team of Morgan Bass, Jada Elcock, Lahzai Robinson and Camille Cruz.
Our Lions started their day off with the freshmen boys taking 2nd place in the freshmen boys 4X2. The team consisted of Alijah Liles, Cadian Romeo, Jeremiah Duke and Errol Rollins. Followed by the Varsity Boys taking 4th in the 4X4, the team of Austin Morris, Matthew Simon, Deronne Softley and Roman Henry. To close out the day freshmen Cadian Romeo came in 1st in the Junior Varsity 400.
