Meet Loughlin's Class of '22 Valedictorian!

We are proud to announce that Brinesha Derrick-Bain will be our Valedictorian for the Class of 2022.

There are student-athletes and then there are STUDENT-ATHLETES. We are very proud of Brinesha for all of her accomplishments while at Loughlin. Her most recent track and field accomplishments include a NY State #1 and CHSAA #1 in the 400 Meter Hurdles at the 16th Annual New York Relays with a time of 1:02.80.

Brinesha has decided to attend the University of Albany with a Presidential Scholarship this fall. Along with an excellent track program, they have an outstanding Psychology program which will be her major. Brinesha told us that "Loughlin prepared me for the real world by enforcing important skills that I need to succeed in the real world."

When asked about the remarkable balance required to excel on the track and in the classroom, Brinesha offered "I have been able to focus on track and school by staying determined. I understand that success requires consistency. I try my very best to prioritize the steps that I need to take to accomplish what I hope to accomplish."
