Mr. William Frank Shares Financial Wisdom

In the Senior Economics classes, the students had the privilege of meeting Mr. William Frank, who is employed at a major national financial advisory firm. He was a guest of Mr. Callahan from the History Department. Mr. Frank’s golden rule “don’t lose money when you don't have to,” is a practical strategy he shared for financial responsibility and building long-term wealth.
Mr. Frank broke down the fundamentals of credit cards, explaining how they work and the importance of paying off the full balance each month. He warned that only paying the minimum amount due leads to interest charges, which can quickly add up. He also discussed student loans for college and the importance of fixed and fluid interest rates. The students found this information quite valuable.
The class was highly engaged throughout his discussion. When Mr. Frank asked questions, students were quick to respond with thoughtful answers, showing a solid understanding of the concepts. We were also curious and asked him questions of our own, which led to an interesting discussion about cryptocurrency and how it works.
Overall, Mr. Frank’s visit was both insightful and inspiring, equipping us with valuable financial knowledge that we can apply in the real world.
