Nine Loughlinites Graduate from Arthur Ashe Program!

On May 16th, the Arthur Ashe Health Science Academy honored the graduating class of 2025 at their Celebration of Achievement Ceremony.

Nine Loughlinites (more than any other NYC school) graduated from this prestigious medical program, and each of those students graduated with special Honors (as indicated below). These students have been attending the Arthur Ashe Program for the past 3 years, as facilitated by their moderator, Mrs. Jason. 

Through this program, participants were empowered with knowledge and skills to further potential careers in science, medicine, nursing, public health and research. Ms. Lamarque who provides ongoing support was also in attendance, and Loughlin/Arthur Ashe Alum, Jazmine Cherrington '19, provided the keynote address for the ceremony! 

At the ceremony, five Loughlin students were awarded the highest distinction of “Grand Slam”:

• Elizabeth Charles

• Daphney Gayot* (also received the Advantage Award)

• Joli Pierre

• Sade Whittingham

Four students earned the distinction of “Aces”:

• Caden Charles

• Tylia DeHoyos

• Oluwaseyi Fadairo

• Sarah Marcellin
