On Thursday, October 26th the National Honor Society, moderated by Ms. Beverley Madar, welcomed its newest inductees.
A total 84 students were inducted into the Bishop Loughlin chapter. 36 new juniors and 7 seniors joined the pre-existing membership of 41 seniors. Our wonderful officers gave speeches that talked about the 4 pillars of NHS: Scholarship, Leadership, Character, and Service.
To qualify for the Loughlin Chapter of the NHS students have to meet several requirements, some of which include earning an 87% average or higher, receiving teacher recommendations, and demonstrating exemplary character.
In the last academic school year, our NHS chapter held 2 blood drives. We had over 101 students give blood which saved the lives of over 300 people! Four of our NHS members attended The Illuminate: Student Summit on Wellness in Virginia. NHS also held a student and teacher jeopardy competition and the 15th Annual Loughlin's Got Talent.
Congrats Inductees! We are proud of you!
