The 29th Annual Lion-Lancer Golf Outing

We are deeply grateful to all the friends and supporters who helped make the 29th Annual Lion Lancer Golf Outing such a memorable day!

Held at Harbor Links Golf Course in Port Washington, NY, this year’s outing brought together our community for camaraderie, friendly competition, and a shared commitment to opening doors of opportunity for students.

Together, we raised over $65,000 in support of scholarships and financial aid—thanks to both the Brother James Aurelius Raffle and golf outing proceeds.

Celebrating Our Honorees

This year, we were proud to recognize two outstanding members of the Loughlin family:

• John “Jed” Klemm ’65 — A beloved leader in our Alumni and Advancement Office, John’s vision and dedication made the very first golf outing possible nearly three decades ago. He was honored for his enduring contributions to his alma mater.
• Kim Cherry-Burnett '87, Ph.D. — Currently the Lead of Social Impact and Community Engagement at Micron Technology, Dr. Burnett (pictured with Board Chair, Lenny Singletary '87) is advancing STEM education by building strong K–12 partnerships. Kim is also preparing the next generation of STEM educators at both Trinity and American University. Her achievements inspire pride and admiration across the Loughlin community.

We’re thankful for our steering committee—Brian Connolly ’73, John Klemm ’65, Kenny Lewis ’87, and Lenny Singletary '87—for their leadership in making the day a success.

The Harbor Links course proved both beautiful and challenging (complete with its famous robot servers delivering refreshments!). A special highlight of the day was our first-ever “Beat the Alum” challenge on Hole 12, bravely led by Mr. Kenny Lewis ’87. His good-natured competition—and generous matching gift—helped raise more than $1,500 in additional support.
