1. Register for the Test for Admission into Catholic High Schools (TACHS)

• Students who take the Test for Admission into Catholic High Schools (TACHS) are given priority for acceptance.
• There is a $71.00 registration fee. (Payable by credit card with internet or phone registration, certified check or money order with a mailed registration). Registration closes October 30, 2024. 
• Bishop Loughlin TACHS Code is: 003. Be sure Bishop Loughlin is one of your three choices.
• Remind your guidance counselor, principal or 8th grade teacher to complete the student applicant record located at http://www.tachsinfo.com/PDF/DBQAdminCalendar.pdf and mail the completed form to:

2. Take the TACHS exam on November 8, 2024 (after being accepted). 

3. Complete Online Application and Submit our Registration Fee 

• Results from the TACHS exam are sent out in January.
• Students who are accepted to Bishop Loughlin based on their TACHS exam scores will be sent an acceptance package in mid-January.

• Complete our online application and submit the registration fee of $550. This fee will secure your seat at Bishop Loughlin. 

4. Register at our Registration Day Event on Wednesday, February 5, 2025

• Bring your Immunization record, social security card, birth certificate and report cards.
• There is a registration fee of $550.00 payable in cash, money order or credit card.

• You will be considered for acceptance based on an interview with the Admissions Team.
• Bring your immunization record, report card, social security card, birth certificate and a letter of recommendation from a teacher or guidance counselor.
• If accepted, you will be able to register on the same day.
• There is a registration fee of $550.00 payable in cash, money order or credit card.

Students may apply to Loughlin as transfer students into the 9^th, 10^th and 11^th grades. 
Applicants will need to make an appointment for an interview with the Assistant Principal/ Academic Dean and the Director of Admissions. To make an appointment you must contact the Admissions Office at 718-857-2700 Ext. 2246, x2248 or x2265.

Applicants for the 9^th, 10^th and 11^th grades must submit:

• Transcripts and/or report cards for all grades and subjects for which they want credit.
• Immunization records, social security card, birth certificate and, at least one letter of recommendation.

There is a non-refundable registration fee of $550 — cash or money order only — if application is approved.
